Running a Funiture Store - Studio while Living in Today's Climate

According to the industry (Statista Market Insights, 2025) CAGR, from 2025 to 2029, the market is expected to grow at 3.73% annually. The first quarter just finished. The President of Amparo's Furniture, Eva Chavez, was asked how difficult it is to live and work in Southern California since the new year, 2025. She stated, "Life matters were overwhelming, having happy moments along with emergencies but filled with peace, still having time for a short vacation with family." She added, "Our economy seems like it's changing, but right now, it's more on hold than moving to a new economy. The new government, or a combination of what the world went through in the last few years, has not brought about beneficial changes. We are working harder and more creatively."
Happy Moment
A happy moment for Amparo's Furniture is helping the customer fill a room. When we, the customer, are satisfied with their purchase. How they invite their children to help make design decisions. We replaced a few of our living rooms and dining sets with fresh, updated styles, which was a feel-good decision.
Emergencies
It's funny how delivery emergencies are always a concern, even when it's a small rocking chair. We don't want to over-deliver and under-promise, but ensuring time frames for custom sofas is a concern. When parts have to be reordered to finish building a dining table, it is the most concerning of our industry. Though all these are concerns, they're typical in the industry. Most emergencies are managed quickly, and customers are happy with their purchases.
Vacation
Taking a vacation while working in the furniture industry is a must. Long hours in on and off-traffic store locations are a must. Once our short trips are taken, we feel energized, creating more smiles and memorable furniture-buying experiences with their desired room furnished as the customer envisions.
Conclusion
Running a business in 2025 is unpredictable. Prices may be different with the new tariffs our President is enforcing. New business decisions with manufacturers affect the way we do business. Overall, it doesn't matter with confidence that the United States of America is sharp in fixing problems that affect our country. We need to be happy and patient. Take those wonderful opportunities when they arise.
